Jefferson Presbyterian Church

Music and Choir

Picture
Performing in the JPC choir is done first and foremost as worship of the Lord and as a service to His church.

We ask singers and musicians to view choir membership as an act of devotion, not simply as recreation and entertainment.  So, we dedicate ourselves to be the leaders of worship and, thus, serve the members of JPC and give our best efforts to God.

As a choir, we are open to change and remain flexible.

Churches and their members are a diverse group with different talents and tastes in music.  As a choir we have learned to embrace a variety of styles and sounds over the years as members - old and new - request their favorite worship music, and as new talent enters our congregation.  This variety makes choir an on-going adventure as we sing and play our way through the rich, complex heritage of church music.
