Arts and Crafts Guild

The Arts and Crafts Guild has been hard at work!  Items from the Guild are being used to support the ministries of Presbyterian Homes.  The group meets the first Sunday of each month with a light meal and then fellowship along with the crafts.  Contact Ann or Pastor Doug Hilliard for more information.

Women's Evening Circle

The Women's Evening Circle will meet Tuesday, September 20, from 7:00-9:00 at the Manse.

Nominating Committee

The Nominating Committee is seeking candidates from our Active Memership Roll who have a passion and gifts for serving as church elders.  We will elect two elders for two-year terms and two elders for three-year terms this year.  We will also elect two active members to serve on the 2011-2012 Nominating Committee.  The current Nominating Committee consists of Elder Terry May, Neil Wienges, Sydney White, and Ex-officio member Pastor Doug Hilliard.  Please contact Committee members with nominations.


Koinonia Project

Pastor Doug Hilliard is currently leading a Bible study in Thurman Hall each Wednesday, The Koinonia Project: Creating a Christ Centered Community.  A light meal will be enjoyed by all from 6:00-7:00 and then the study from 7:00-8:00.    

 
Habitat for Humanity

The Jackson County Habitat is seeking volunteers and funds to help provide much needed housing to our communities.  If you wish to join in the efforts, please write Gay Bradley at 1810 Washington Street in Jefferson, email her at

Ladies Bible Study

The Ladies Bible Study meets the third Monday of each month from 7:00p - 9:00p in member's homes.  The 2010-2011 study is the Presbyterian Women's study  Journeys Through Revelation: Apocalyptic Hope for Tomorrow.  All ladies are welcome in this time of sharing, witness and prayer.  Please contact Patty Whiten (pattywhiten@windstream.net) or Jean Kalino (jekalino@aol.com) for more information.


Adult Sunday School

The Adult Sunday School meets at 9:45.  All adults are welcome and there are always refreshments.  The study changes every 8-10 weeks.  This is also a drop in class, so you can drop in anytime for some great fellowship!  The current study is the book of John.


Children's Sunday School

The Children's Sunday School is currently learning the Ten Commandments.  The current class starts Sunday September 11 and will run for 11 weeks.  Don't worry if the children miss a class, a review is done during class each week.


Stewardship Commitment Sunday

Stewardship Commitment Sunday is November 6.  Please be in prayer about your commitment of time, talent, and treasure to God and JPC.  Christ is counting on you!


Offertory and Prelude Music

Don't forget to give your requests to Fred Trunk, Minister of Music, for your selections to be played during the Prelude and Offertory.  This is a wonderful way to hear your favorite hymns!


Daytime Bible Study

The Daytime Bible Study group meets the third Monday of every month in member's homes.  The current study is the Beattitudes.  Please contact Betty Turner (eusmom@yahoo.com) for more information.


Fifth Sunday Singing

During months with a fifth Sunday, JPC offers a Fifth Sunday Singing.  Please consider joining us for this time of praise through song.


Kirking O' the Tartans

JPC's annual Kirking O' the Tartans worship service will be Sunday October 30.  This service will be fun for all.  Break out your kilt and join us!
